Our new and growing medical practice needs dedicated, team-oriented individuals with one to least three years of experience in a GI clinical setting.  As one of our Advanced Practice Clinician, you will provide, direct, and evaluate care for patients as well as collaborate with physicians.  If you are organized, have excellent communications skills, and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient service, we invite you to apply.  You are going to love being a part of the Premier family


Provides, directs, and evaluates care to PGA patients, performs selected laboratory testing, referrals to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.

The Advanced Practice Clinician: Is a member of the health care team who works in collaboration with PGA physicians. The APC follows established protocols and collaborates with physicians, however, does have day-to-day independence in health care decisions.



1.  Demonstrates commitment to the quality philosophy and values of PGA Partners by maintaining established policies and procedures, organizational objectives, process improvement, and safety standards.

2. Demonstrates the PGA Code of Conduct standards in all interpersonal relations.

3. Oversees clinical assessment of patients, ordering diagnostics and administering physical exam, to determine condition.

4. Refers patients to physicians as needed.

5. Oversees medical therapeutics and treatment of patients based on clinical Nurse Practitioner Job Description assessment; prescribes medication, follow-up and additional diagnostics as needed.

6. Educates patients about their conditions and ailments and makes recommendations and follow-up concerning behavior changes to improve health.

7. Assures that adequate records are maintained; periodically reviews patient records in collaboration with the administrative physician.

8. Exhibits empathy, insight, understanding, compassion, and cooperation.  Assures that adequate records are maintained; periodically reviews patient records in collaboration with the administrative physician


1.  Ability to assess a patient's condition and to initiate appropriate treatment.

2. Extensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

3. Knowledge of pharmaceuticals to treat disease and illnesses, to include a knowledge of the mechanism of action, side effects, toxic nature, and drug interactions of medications.

4. Ability to perform and interpret diagnostic tests in order to determine therapeutic treatment plans

5. Ability to exercise judgment in determining when to consult other resources for diagnosis and case management.

6. Demonstrates accountability for nursing practice through planned & continuous professional growth and development.

7. Demonstrates a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.

8. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, co- workers, and other hospital personnel on a one-to-one basis using appropriate grammar vocabulary and work usage.

9. The use of independent judgment and discretion while maintaining patient rights.


A.  Education/Experience Requirements:

*Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas.

*Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. *Current certification by a national organization recognized by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. *AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

B.  Physical and Mental Requirements:

*Daily standing, sitting, squatting, stooping, walking, bending, maneuvering balancing, kneeling, lifting, finger dexterity, clerical perception, motor coordination, visual acuity, hearing, eye-hand coordination.

JOB TYPE:  Full-time

SALARY:  Depending on experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  1 to 3 years in Gastroenterology preferred
