Premier Gastroenterology is looking for a self-starting IT Support Administrator/Technology Manager to join our team!

The PGA IT Support Administrator/Technology Manager provides oversight and IT support to Premier Gastroenterology (PGA) end-users, gastroenterologists, and remote client hospitals and clinics, as well as support for all technology equipment and applications, including the ambulatory surgery center environment. This position will be a primary administrator for the PGA EMR and will be trained as an EMR super-user.

Experience with healthcare technology and terminology is required.

Experience with telecommunications equipment is helpful.

Experience with website management is helpful.

This position is responsible for the oversight of IT and technology service delivery from the PGA Headquarters located in Little Rock, AR.  This role performs the PGA Service Desk function while also offering escalated "hands-on" support for PGA employees, c-level staff, administrative staff, clinical staff, outside client/hospital staff, and the associated vendors to ensure the gastroenterologist and supporting staff experience is optimized.   

These job functions are provided both onsite and remotely using PGA-provided remote-control tools.    The preferred candidate is an individual who has leadership skills but is also capable of participating in issue resolution and troubleshooting in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 

2.     Essential Functions

  • Provide high senior level support of PGA networking and infrastructure related issues.
  • Quick aptitude for learning, or a strong understanding, of connectivity for diagnosing infrastructure problems related to radiology workflow:
    • Router/firewall
    • DICOM routers
    • HL7 interface engines
    • Image storage and accessibility
    • Workflow systems
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with the PGA gastroenterologists, clinical and administrative staff, outside client/hospital staff and product vendors to ensure that the PGA IT environment is optimized.
  • Highly motivated and available to work a varied shift schedule with flexibility is supporting the 24/7/365 nature of the business.
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and update documented "Gastroenterology Workflow" processes and procedures.
  • Continually meet or exceed mutually agreed upon implementation timelines and deliverables for scoped project work.
  • Must be a "self-starter" capable of owning and delivering on tasks with limited supervision.

3.     Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of IT support experience
  • Experience with medical clinic EMR's and EHR's
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
